I think this question is primarily for those who cosplay. Since most or all of you probably encountered a scenario like that before. Where the character looks/appearance just isn't what you can look like or just don't want to look like for one or another reason(that's me in this case)

I am planning to cosplay a character from DBZ - Tien.
Now I know people go creative and add/edit their ideas to the characters they cosplay which is good, in my opinion. Creativity is what makes it all unique.

Now my question or more of a concern is that I have a goatee style and Im not bald - like Tien.
I really like the character but I don't want to be 100% replica if that makes sense, I'd like to put a bit of my self into it and make it different.

I guess the scenario is "What if?" you saw a Tien like that at the convention you are going to, what would be your thoughts? Silly? Creative? Cool? etc. please explain

I really don't have any friends that cosplay so public opinion from those who do, is my next best option
